Zanu-PF wins Buhera Ward 2 local government by-election

Edward Manyonda of Zanu-PF won the local government by-election for Buhera Ward 2 over the weekend. He defeated Independent candidate Isaac Sithole.  Manyonda  polled 717 votes which were enough to see him comfortably beat Sithole’s 464 votes. Manyonda is now the duly elected representative for Buhera Rural District Council local government seat Ward 2.

The seat fell vacant after the death of Councillor Maximillan Bere.
