Govt disciplines 2 teachers from Masvingo for impregnating pupils

Provincial education director, Zedious Chitiga said they have instituted unspecified action against two teachers, both from Fambidzanai High School in Bikita who impregnated pupils and went to pay lobola to avoid being charged. The two were charged with improper conduct.This comes after parents petitioned the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education claiming that six teachers from Fambidzani were allegedly involved in affairs with pupils.

Said Chitiga:

We took action … The system responded swiftly to the cases. Appropriate disciplinary action has been taken against the perpetrators. That is all I can say for now. I cannot be specific at the moment, but the long arm of the law took its course. We do not tolerate misappropriate conduct with pupils.
