War vets warn Sekeramayi not to support Jonathan Moyo and G40

Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary general Victor Matemadanda has warned Minister of Defence Sidney Sekeramayi not to support the G40 Faction. This comes after Professor Jonathan Moyo said that Sekeramayi was more senior as well as a better alternative to succeed President Mugabe instead of Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Matemadanda warned Sekeramayi that he risks ending his political career if he supports Jonathan Moyo and G40. According to Matemadanda, Moyo has no right to determine succession in Zanu PF.

He (Moyo) knows very well that once confirmed that Sekeramayi now leads the so-called G40 faction which has been abandoned by the first family, then attacks from the so-called Team Lacoste camp will now be targeting Sekeramayi

…Sekeramayi should be wary of the G40 faction, whose idea is to isolate the president from former liberation war comrades.

They (G40) have attacked ED (Mnangagwa) before, and now they are setting up Sekeramayi for failure
