She could ditch you and return to Zanu PF: Tsvangirai warned about Mujuru

MDC-T President Morgan Tsvangirai has been warned to be wary of former Vice President Joice Mujuru when forming a coalition of opposition parties. Zimbabwe Democracy Institute director Pedzisai Ruhanya has warned the MDC not to trust someone whose origins are in Zanu-PF as she could, return home to help Zanu PF to win the 2018 elections.

Speaking at a Mass Public Opinion Institute discussion, Ruhanya said:

The MDC and their cousins and their nephews as it started in 1999…I think that is the basis of a coalition. Anything other than that is a fallacy to me,” Ruhanya told a Mass Public Opinion Institute discussion.

If you choose someone who has moved out of Zanu PF, on the eve of elections she can announce that ‘I have gone back home; I was cheated, these people were sent by the British to betray the revolution’.

You (MDCs) will go to the election without a candidate and you need to take this seriously.
