Pro Zanu-PF businessman Killer Zivhu evicted from rented house for refusing to pay rentals

Association of Rural District Councils president and Zimbabwe Cross Border Traders Association (ZCBTA) president Killer Zivhu appeared before Harare Magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi at the civil court over unpaid rentals. The owners of the property wanted Zivhu evicted for not paying rent and told the court that they had given him three months notice.

In his defence, Zivhu said that he been renovating the property with the money for rentals because the house was dilapidated. He claimed to have used $16 000 of his own money.

Magistrate Gamuchirai Siwardi granted a default judgement in favour of the property owners.

Zivhu recently launched a strategy in which the country’s 60 rural district councils are targeting to canvass 2.3 million votes for President Mugabe in next year’s harmonised elections.
