Mzembi promises to deal with "over policing" on the country's roads

Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Walter Mzembi who is back in the office after a year-long leave period has promised to deal with the numerous roadblocks mounted on the country’s roads. Mzembi said that it was negatively affecting tourism and promised to engage his fellow cabinet ministers to resolve the issue.
Addressing journalists in Harare, Mzembi said:

Just buy me time, let me take it to my colleagues in cabinet and let them understand what the market is saying. It is the market speaking and we need to respond to that within the frame work of our ease to do business and within the frame work of positive enable action that is required in order to grow the tourism product .

No finger pointing, no aggression to any particular party and I am sure when we sit down in cabinet we will understand it; I then ask and I am going to press for a stakeholder meeting around that issue which will involve relevant ministries and there will be representatives of tourists and the industry so that we iron this matter out.

It will be dealt with, I am back, the boy is back in town and I will fix it.
