Bona Mugabe gets another top post, appointed to Govt owned Empower Bank board

Bona Mugabe-Chikore has been appointed to the soon to be established Empower Bank which will be run by the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board (NIEEB). This comes days after she was appointed into the Censorship Board.

Sources told the Zimbabwe Independent that Bona will be a member of the bank which will be chaired by Raymond Njanike. According to the source the bank will be headed by Wellington Zengeza who is currently a general manager at NIEEB. The source also said that the bank will start operations soon although there is no set date. Indigenisation Minister Patrick Zhuwao who is President Robert Mugabe’s nephew confirmed the appointment of Bona into the board. He said that plans to establish Empower Bank were at an advanced stage.
