Vendors assault police officers for attempting to arrest colleague for urinating in public

Two vendors appeared in court for assaulting two police officers who wanted to arrest their colleague for urinating in public. The vendors allegedly incited a mob to assault on of the officers. Matiya Shorai (33) and Karichapa Blazio (32) were granted $30 bail by Harare magistrate Ms. Nomsa Sabarauta and remanded to Tuesday next week. They are facing charges of defeating the course of justice.

Less than two weeks back, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Obedingwa Mguni  said that the is nothing wrong at all with police officers, urinating or defecating in public places
