ZEC accused of delaying BVR implementation, old voters roll likely to be used in 2018 elections
MDC-T spokesperson Obert Gutu has accused the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) of delaying the implementation of the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) process. He said that his party was preparing for the possibility of the 2018 elections being conducted using the old voters roll.
Gutu also said that there was need for voters to be educated on the BVR process and said that ZEC was intentionally delaying the process. Said Gutu:
Election 2018 is just around the corner but Zec is still ducking and diving. An election is a process, not an event; a marathon and not a sprint.
