CAPS United beats USM Alger 2-1

CAPS United beat USM Algers 2-1 in a match played at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon. Ronald Chitiyo scored a brace to give Makepekepe their first CAF Champions League Group B win. USM Alger had levelled the scoreline in the second half after Ayouba Abdellaoui scored.

The Zimbabwean champions are now level on points with USM Alger, who won their first game 3-nil against Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya. They trail Zamalek, who have 4 points from two games, while Tripoli are bottom of the group with a point after a nil-all draw with Zamalek last night. The top two teams from each will progress to the quarter-finals of Africa’s biggest club competition.
