Mutsvangwa says there are no issues between War Veterans and Mugabe, Chiwenga

Speaking to NewsDay, Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) chairperson Christopher Mutsvangwa said that there are no issues between his organisation and President Robert Mugabe or Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander General Constantino Chiwenga. He went on to state that their fight was not with Mugabe but with thw G40 Faction.

Said Mutsvangwa:

As chairman, I want to assure the public and the national body politic that there are no contentious issues between ZNLWA [Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association] and their patron, HE [His Excellency] Robert Mugabe, the President of the Republic. By the same token, war veterans are delighted with the ever-warming relations with the First Family as a whole.

Mutsvangwa’s comments come after Chiwenga recently accused him of disrespecting the First Family.
