Zimbabwe 'A' beat Canada in second ODI to clinch series

The Zimbabwe ‘A’ cricket team defeated Canada in the second one day international (ODI) match to clinch the three-match series. Zimbabwe won the match which was played on Thursday at Harare Sports Club by 78 runs. Having won the first match, this means that Zimbabwe has an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Having won the toss, the hosts were the first to bat and posted 288-5 in their full 50 overs. Sean Williams topped scored for Zimbabwe with 114 runs. Canada’s bowlers Marc Montfort and Saad Ben Zafar took two wickets apiece.

In reply, the Canadians only managed to post 207 runs in 45.1 overs. Zimbabwean captain, Graeme Cremer was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.

The Final ODI will be played at Harare Sports Club on Friday
