Through her lawyers Messrs Garikayi and Company, Manicaland Provincial Affairs minister Mandi Chimene has challenged a High Court ruling delivered on February 21, 2016, which barred her from standing in as leader or interfere in the activities of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA).
In her founding affidavit, Chimene argues that she was never served with a copy of the urgent chamber application which resulted in the interdict being granted against her. She also argues that the judgement was given in her absence when she should have been present. The matter is set to be heard at the High Court tomorrow.
