Angry SA transport operators temporarily block border, blame Zim operators for driving them out of business

Some South African transport operators blocked the border and prevented traffic coming from Zimbabwe from entering South Africa through the Beitbridge Border Post.  The angry South Africans were accusingZimbabweann transport operators of driving them out of business, especially those with pickup trucks. The South Africans want Zimbabwe operators to be prevented from carrying people from Musina to Beitbridge Border Post. They argue that the Zimbabwean transporters should only start carrying goods and people from Beitbridge Border Post on the Zimbabwan side of the border.

The blockade lasted for about six hours and was dispersed by the South African Police Service.
