I cannot be pressurized to release an album says Macheso

Sungura musician Alick Macheso has implored his fans to be patient as he was not going to be pressured to release a new album before he feels he is ready. However, Macheso has reassured his fans that the new album will be released in August. This will be Macheso’s 11th album. His last album Tsoka Dzerwendo was released in March last year and sold 100 000 copies in its first week of release.

Said Macheso:

I cannot be pressurised to release an album. All I am doing right now is to fine-tune the songs and when I am satisfied, I will release it.

The album will definitely be released in August this year. Yes, there has been talk about the release date, but I am sure by August we would have completed what we are doing.

My fans are there to judge whether the album is good. As a musician, I only come up with a product and people are there to critique. We try by all means to come up with products that excite people and that is what we are striving to do right now in the studio.
