Former finance minister Dr Simba Makoni said that ordinary Zimbabweans are equally to blame for the country’s situation.
Said Makoni:
However, we, the people, need to accept our share of responsibility for this situation, letting Mugabe and his henchmen to destroy our country. Those, like me, who shared, and those still sharing leadership with him, must accept greater responsibility, for complicity or acquiescence . . .We must resolve to ‘liberate ourselves’. Let’s ride out of the fear Mugabe and his system have instilled in us. Then, let’s unite honestly around the common purpose and common good, to restore our dignity, esteem, freedoms and self- reliance.

It’s true though he neesed to elaborate what tipe of fear?
Zimbabweans cannot stretagies a military action or built up an opposition with a military force, anyone who plans that is labelled as insane/ violent.But who is not violent mugabe is using state machinery to the citizens who put him in power.One cannot kill an elephat with a stone, u need an elphant size of plan to.Zanu doesn’t fear any of the current opposition because no one has the military capacity to overthrow him and his cahoots.Zimbabweans to blame for 37years!
Simba Makoni’s blame is huge. If he had not participated in Zanu PF’s project to split the opposition vote in 2008 by forming his Mavambo/ Dawn party at the elventh hour, MDC-T would have wrestled power from Zanu PF. We would at least be having a ruling power with no strangle-hold over the army, and therefore removable from power once the people decide to.
