Former Air Zimbabwe chief executive Peter Chikumba’s application for bail extension until his case is determined by the Supreme Court was deferred again yesterday. The hearing was deferred from yesterday to today (Wednesday) at the behest of the defence. The matter will be heard by High Court Judge Justice Hlekani Mwayera.
Chikumba and his co-accused Grace Pfumbidzayi unsuccessfully appealed against both conviction and seven-year jail terms for criminal abuse of duty under the Criminal Law (Codification Reform) Act. The two are challenging the High Court decision at the Supreme Court.
