PDP’s Jacob Mafume says foreign based President Mugabe is suffering from dementia and is confusing Zim with Singapore

Jacob Mafume, spokesperson for the People’s Democratic Party has attacked President Mugabe for his remarks at the World Economic Forum in South Africa last week. Mugabe said that Zimbabwe was one of the most developed countries in Africa, coming second to South Africa only.

Mafume accused Mugabe of being an absentee leader who was now confusing his own country with other countries due to dementia. In a statement,

Mafume said:

As a foreign based President who once in a while visits the country he claims to lead, he probably mistakes Zimbabwe for Malaysia or Singapore where he spends much of his time,

The suggestion that Zimbabwe is Africa’s second most developed economy is pathological & reflective of exhaustion, cognitive dissonance and dementia.

Any person who shares the same view as the one presented by Mugabe at the WEF would be morally, ethically and cognitively sick. Such thinking needs medical or even surgical correction

Courtesy of Mugabe’s poor leadership, the country is now the pothole capital of Southern Africa. Mugabe needs to realise his ignorance is itself a crisis,
