Retired Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku who died last week Wednesday in Johannesburg, South Africa from kidney and liver complications, has been declared a national hero. He will be buried at the national heroes acre.
This comes amid reports that his family is suspecting foul play in his death. Some family members reportedly believe that he was poisoned at his retirement party. After that night, he never fully recovered and had to be admitted to the Avenues clinic before being airlifted to South Africa. The party was boycotted by all Ministers except former Minister of Justice, Patrick Chinamasa.
