400 Bulawayo residents set to lose property for not paying water bills

Sunday News reports that more than 400 Bulawayo residents are set to lose their properties to Bulawayo City Council over unpaid water bills. Gweru City Council is also attaching property for about 53 companies including manufacturing industries and schools that owe it more than $18 million.

Bulawayo city senior public relations officer Mrs Nesisa Mpofu confirmed the development to Sunday News and said that they will take similar action against companies. A list seen by Sunday News showed that Gweru City Council has already attached property from a number of companies ranging from vehicles, furniture with Mkoba 1 High School losing a school bus and a school truck after the Messenger of Court was granted the execution order.
