Govt to recruit 2 300 teachers to implement new curriculum ahead of second term

Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Prisca Mupfumira has revealed that the government has started recruiting 2 300 teachers ahead of the second term. The teachers will enable the implementation of the new curriculum. The recruitment is expected to be completed before schools open next week.

Said Mupfumira:

We have started the process of recruiting the 2 300 teachers before schools open for the second term.

We are working on the modalities and administrative issues and we are looking forward to completing the process by Monday next week.

The government expectsa to recruit 7 000 teachers in the end, with the 2 300 being the first batch.
