Man battling for life after being stabbed over $2

Mthulisi Ndlovu (31) of Filabusi is battling for his life at Mpilo Central Hospital after he was stabbed in the neck over $2. Ndhlovu was allegedly stabbed by Phineas Tshuma (48) of Amazon with an Okapi knife after an argument over a $2 escalated. The two had been drinking together prior to the stabbing. The incident occurred at around 4 PM on Sunday at Amazon Business Centre’s Phumula Bar.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson Inspector Philisani Ndebele confirmed the incident saying:

I can confirm a man was arrested and is facing attempted murder charges after he stabbed a fellow villager with an Okapi knife. The victim sustained a deep cut and has since been transferred to the United Bulawayo Hospitals.

The police urged the public to resolve issues amicably.
