PSL in stadium crisis as National Sports Stadium will be closed for two weeks in preparation of Pastor Chris' maiden crusade

The Ministry of Local Government ,Public Works and National Housing has written to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) indicating the National Sports Stadium will be closed for all football activities for the next two weeks to allow for preparations ahead of a crusade by Christ Embassy’s Pastor Chris scheduled for May 7.

This arrangement has resulted in the PSL facing a stadium crisis as the stadium is home to five teams namely; Dynamos, CAPS United, Black Rhinos, Yadah and Harare City. Rufaro Stadium is already closed and has been unable to host game so far this season after renovations that saw the artificial turf stripped and replaced by natural grass. PSL CEO Kenny Ndebele has since written to the Ministry expressing disappointment over the situation.
