Chinoz dismisses criticism for posting Chinx video, says he meant well

Zanu-PF legislator for Buhera South Joseph Chinotinba, who is often referred to as Chinoz, has defended himself for posting a video showing a seriously ill Cde Chinx Chingaira. Chinotimba was accused of being insensitive to Chingaira’s current state as well as violating Chingaira’s right to privacy.

However, the legislator said he meant well and suggested that his actions were meant to shame people who keep spreading rumours that Cde Chinx had died.

Said Chinotimba:

People were claiming that he died and we wanted to show that he is alive. We did not do it for any other reasons except shaming those who were spreading terrible rumors.

We heard a clip of what sounded like a radio recording of people giving condolence messages for a person who is still alive. This is when we decided to put the stories to rest and show that the comrade is ill but he is still alive.
