Albert Hanyani (37) from the Sengwe communal lands allegedly hanged himself after stabbing his ex-wife, Belivious Makoni (20) of Mpopoma Village, with a kitchen knife. Hanyani stabbed Makoni at her sister’s house after she had rebuffed his efforts to reconcile.
Masvingo acting provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the pair’s bodies were taken to Masvingo General Hospital for a post-mortem.
