Villagers evicted to make way for Grace Mugabe want Chihuri and Chombo arrested for contempt

Nine villagers who were evicted from Arnold Farm in Mazowe have filed contempt of court charges against Home Affairs minister Ignatius Chombo and Police Commissioner-General Augustine Chihuri. They want the two arrested for defying a High Court order which barred the Zimbabwe Republic Police and other government authorities from demolishing the gvillagers’ homes and evicting them. The viullagers are bing evicted to make way for the expansionn of First Lady Grace Mugabe’s business empire.

The villagers have also sought the help of SADC and the AU to stop the evictions and to compel the government to follow the rule of law.
