A Glad Tidings Church administrator Blessing Shumbamhini is suing a Harare man Clive Shamu for $9 800 for allegedly having an adulterous affair with his wife Eddah. Shamu appeared before Harare Civil Court magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza who deferred the matter to July 3.

The court heard that Shumbamhini and Eddah entered into a customary marriage and subsequently contracted a civil union in terms of the Marriage Act Chapter (5:11) on April 16 2005. Their union however is pending a divorce before the High Court. Blessing told the court that sometime in 2008 he noticed a change in his wife. Inquiries revealed that his wife was having an affair with her Air Zimbabwe workmate Shamu. Shamu continued having an affair with Eddah despite Blessing’s pleas with him to end the affair.
