Falcon College’s estate manager Murray Ross Osborne (47) is in court for allegedly insulting President Robert Mugabe last December.
The case was brought before the courts yesterday after the Attorney General gave the State the authority to prosecute in terms of Section 34 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act. Osborne was released on $100 bail and remanded to May 10 for commencement of trial when he appeared before Magistrate Tawanda Miuchemwa facing charges of undermining the authority or insulting the president. The State alleges that Osborne tasked the complainant Bigboy Moyo locate and dig out a sewage pipe. Moyo failed to carry out the task which resulted in Osborne saying “you are stupid like President Gabriel Mugabe.”
