South African safari hunter believed to be eaten by crocodiles after he goes missing in Zimbabwe

A South African safari hunter Scott van Zyl (44)  is believed to have been eaten by crocodiles after he went missing on Friday last week. Zyl who owns SS Pro Safaris,  a professional hunting company, disappeared last Friday on the banks of the Limpopo River in Zimbabwe.

The dogs he was hunting with returned without him and his rifle and personal items were intact in his pickup truck. A search team traced his tracks to the banks of the river and found his backpack. Police and park authorities decided to shoot two crocodiles. A member of the search party told The Telegraph that they found what could possibly be human remains inside the crocodiles. The remains are being tested by frensic experts to determine if they belong to Mr van Zyl, who has a wife and two children.
