Cost of living drops by 0.37 percent to $582: Consumer Council of Zimbabwe

A survey by the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe has revealed that the cost of living has gone down marginally for a family of six. The cost has dropped by 0.37 percent to $582.92 per month. However t, the  CCZ noted that the marginal decrease may have been caused by promotions for selected goods.

Said the CCZ:

As CCZ we assume that the decrease in prices has been caused by promotions on various commodities in some supermarkets

The CCZ continues to encourage consumers to shop conscientiously and to always buy certified products. Where the products are not certified, to exercise their right to information by carefully examining if the products they are buying are well labelled, packaged and provided with vital information such as manufacturing and expiry dates and ingredients used in the make-up of the products
