Francis Chitehwe who is a manager at ZB Life insurance and chairperson of United Bulawayo Hospitals is being investigated for defrauding Ms Winnie Mapuranga of $46 400 over a period of three years to help her get more than one million as a business loan from two life assurances with ZB.
Ms Mapuranga also claims that Chitehwe also threatened to kill her if she reported she lost money to him. Speaking to The Chronicle, Bulawayo provincial spokesperson inspector Precious Simango said they were investigating the matter. Muparanga also told the publication that she was fired by Bulawayo Polytechnic after she took $7 480 to pay Chitembwe but failed to pay it.
