Mpiliso Moyo (37) appeared before Plumtree Magistrate Mr. Taurai Mawere facing murder charges. He was denied bail and remanded in custody to the 19th of April. Moyo allegedly killed his ex-wife Ntombiyenkosi Ndlovu on Sunday while she was on her way home from her parents’ homestead. The state alleges that he tried to reconcile with her and when she refused he became angry struck her several times with knobkerrie. He then attempted to hide his crime by placing Ndlovu’s body on the road to make it appear as she was a victim of a road accident. However, the police recovered the blood-stained knobkerrie at his homestead.
