16 duped of $230 000 in foreign currency trading scam, promised 100% return in 2 weeks

Kudakwashe Brilliant Madzwawa (24) allegedly duped 16 people of at least $230 000 in a foreign currency trading scam. Madzwawa promised the 16, 100 percent interest in just two weeks on every cash investment. The 16 people invested money ranging from $1000 to $72 600. They did not get the profit or their initial investments.

Madzwawa appeared before Harare Magistrate Ms Barbara Chimboza facing 16 courts of fraud. He argued that this was a civil matter and was granted free bail to get proof that his passport was indeed stolen.
