Kudakwashe Bhasikiti accused of campaigning secretly in Mwenezi East despite withdrawing from by-election

Speaking to The Herald yesterday, Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial secretary for administration Mr Ailess Baloyi confirmed having received reports that Zimbabwe People First (ZimPF) candidate, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti was campaigning secretly in Mwenezi East despite publicly announcing that he was withdrawing from the forthcoming by-election.

Said Baloyi:

We have been receiving information that he is secretly campaigning in an attempt to cause an upset on Zanu-PF, but we are not moved. We got information that he was spotted in places such as Neshuro.

However, Bhasikiti dismissed the claim and said:

They (Zanu-PF) are haunted by Bhasikiti because they know the level of support I had before I decided to withdraw from the by-election. I never held any rallies and I was doing door to door campaigning, which was very effective and Zanu-PF knows that.
