Mazowe Villagers evicted from Grace Mugabe farm appealing for humanitarian aid as they survive on guavas

The villagers who were evicted from Arnold Farm in Mazowe reportedly to make way for First Lady Grace Mugabe to expand her business are living in the open and surviving on guavas and melons. They do not have a source of clean water. Some of the villagers were dumped along the Mvurwi-Concession road and are appealing for humanitarian aid.

A villager who spoke to New Zimbabwe said:

We are surviving on guavas, melon and water, we don’t have clean water to drink let alone to bath or do laundry,

There are no toilets to relive ourselves and its now open defecation everywhere.

The villagers have turned to SADC to force the government to follow the rule of law after the Zimbabwe Republic Police defied a court order barring them from evicting the villagers
