Chimney stuck thief denies charges, says he was unable to steal anything

Andrea Zunga (33) the Bulawayo man who was stuck in a chimney for two days before being rescued by the fire brigade, has denied the offence. Despite initially confessing to unlawful entry and theft, he pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court. He argued that he unable to steal anything as he was trapped in the chimney. He told magistrate Mr Tinashe Tashaya

I didn`t steal anything. I was trapped inside the chimney while l was trying to enter the building

Magistrate Tashaya denied him bail and remanded him in custody to the 10th of April 2017.
