ZRP evicted from CABS Building in Bulawayo after failing to pay rentals for 7 years

The Zimbabwe Republic Police was reportedly evicted from CABS Building in Bulawayo after failing to pay rentals for the past 7 years. The building which is along Jason Moyo is owned by Old Mutual and was home to the Bulawayo provincial Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters, provincial Minerals and Border and Control Unit headquarters and CID district offices.

Bulawayo police provincial spokesperson Precious Simango professed ignorance saying

When did this happen? I am not aware of the eviction

However, a source who spoke to New Zimbabwe said:

We have been evicted from CABS building. The ZRP has not been paying rentals to Old Mutual since 2010 and the debt had ballooned to thousands of dollars
