Church distances itself from Grade 7 pupil's activities after 8 girls faint during "church" meeting

Christ Authority Ministries of Victoria Falls has distanced itself from a Grade 7 pupil’s activities at Monde Primary School who started a church with the same name before recruiting other pupils from the school before holding services with the knowledge of teachers and parents.

The church’s founder Mr Valentine Maphosa told The Chronicle that it is eager to establish how the girl started the church with a similar name to theirs after 8 girls fainted under unclear circumstances.  It is alleged that after starting the church the girl assumed the role of bishop while other pupils were given positions such as elders, pastors and praise and worship representatives among others. All those that became members fainted on Monday soon after lunch at a meeting they had organised.

The incident led other parents to conclude that the girl was being used by satanists to initiate other girls while some called for a cleansing ceremony at the school. Last week on Wednesday, pastors from various denominations teamed up for a prayer session at the school.
