Cheeky headman uses Telone poles and copper wires to fence property

Traditional leader, headman Sandas Muchabaiwa, 59, of Plot 59 Clotshame Farm, allegedly stole poles and over 500 meters of TelOne copper wire telecommunications lines. He went on to use these to fence his field. The poles and the fence were valued at $3 300.

Prosecuting the case George Manhidza told the court:

Assistant Inspector Mike Kachira teamed up with four other police officers and proceeded to Clotshame Farm where they recovered approximately 540 meters of TelOne copper wire, which had been used to fence the accused’s field

Muchabaiwa denied the charges and Magistrate Arnold Maburo postponed the matter to April to allow Muchabaiwa to bring in witnesses to court.
