Mazowe Dam spills for the first time in 16 years

Reports are that Mazowe Dam has finally spilled for the first time in 16 years due to the rains received this rainy season.

In January, Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa) corporate communication and marketing manager Merjorie Munyonga told NewsDay that Mazowe was one of the dams with the lowest volumes at 4%,together with Manjirenji 10,7%, Mutirikwi 7,4%, Lower Ncema 16,7%, Upper Ncema 19,1% and Osborne 28,8%. According to the information on the Zinwa website Mazowe is currently 100.1% full.
