Kasukuwere and his ally accused of attempting to block protests against Sarah Mahoka & Sandi Moyo

Zanu PF national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere  and his ally Harare political commissar, Shadreck Mashayamombe are accused of trying to sabotage Wednesday’s protests against Sarah Mahoka and Eunice Sandi Moyo by members of the Women’s League.

The Herald reports that the two made efforts to stop the protests on Tuesday night. Asked by the paper to comment on the issue, Kasukuwere asked the journalist if he was crazy and inquired why he might block the protests. Meanwhile Mashayamombe said:

Maudzwa nani? Musadaro vakomana. Tinoziva kuti munotivenga vanhu vekuHerald. Itai henyu, Mwari ndiye anoziva. Zvakaoma because we were actually being attacked for supporting the First Lady. This issue is for women and we are not involved.

In Mashonaland Central turn out for the protest was low with The Herald stating that Dickson Mafios intimidated the women. However Mafios has dismissed the claim as a lie and an attack of his person.
