Six Mashava men are battling for their lives at Masvingo General Hospital after they were allegedly shot and seriously injured following a dispute over the gold rich Lennox Mine which is at the center of an ownership wrangle between Mr Edgar Mashindi and Mr Tinashe Hove.
Hove and his five workers escaped death after they were shot by security guards deployed at the mine. Hove sustained facial and chest injuries together with his workers, Mr Polite Mawela, Godfrey Mutangira, Emmanuel Chadzamira,Hahlani Muzamani and Farai Mutsiga. They were shot after they had reported for work at the mine on Saturday. Acting Masvingo Provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said they are investigating the incident.
