Shop worker shot in $1 000 armed robbery

Miss Kathleen Dube was shot on the ankle after three masked men armed with guns raided  Cooland Supermarket in Bulawayo’s Nkulumane 12 suburb.

The suspects who where wearing blue masks appeared at the supermarket’s back entrance when the employees where knocking off. One of them allegedly opened fire at the security guard but missed shooting Dube on the ankle. Dube was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals and The Chronicle could not establish her condition at the time of going to print. Vendors who were outside the supermarket said that they did not see the robbers but only knew of the robbery after an ambulance arrived.
