Roads used by VVIPs to be given highest priority in road rehabilitation – Minister

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development Joram Gumbo revealed that the government had raised $100 million for emergency road repairs. However, the highest priority will be given to roads that are used by VVIPs.

In a recent government report Gumbo said:

Work started on road repairs in Harare in February, commencing with repairs to some strategic VVIP routes around the city, as some of you might have seen.

This work will continue with roads in the central business district, low and high density suburbs being next in line. City engineers are part of the technical subcommittee that has compiled the road emergency programme,
