Former Vice President and leader of opposition party National People’s Party Joice Mujuru says it’s now her chance to lead. Mujuru added that she is not just another version of Zanu PF and stressed that people know and understand how she relates to issues because they have followed her political career. The former Vice President also emphasised that she is now her own person and will not be following anyone’s orders, therefore people can expect a lot from her.
In an interview, Mujuru said:
The Zimbabwean people have known me for a long time, from the days when I was the youngest minister. They know exactly how I’ve been relating to issues that affect their daily lives,
They are seeing that it’s now my time, it’s now my chance. Because before, I’ve been subservient to lots of leaderships. But now that I will be the leader in my own right, surely… they think something better will come out of it.
