High Court Judge Justice Priscilla Chigumba will tomorrow give her judgement on Pastor Patrick Mugadza’s bail application this Friday after hearing arguments from the applicant and the state.
Mugadza who is spending another night in custody at Harare Central Remand Prison, is facing charges of insulting President Mugabe after allegedly predicted that he will die on the 17th of October. He has pending charges of abusing the national flag and one of public nuisance after holding a one man anti-government protest last year.
Mugadza is represented by Obey Shava from the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and is arguing against the state’s position that he has the likelihood to commit offences of a similar nature. he state represented by Editor Mavuto maintained that Mugadza is not fit for bail.
