Moto Republik saved after Mayor calls off tearing down for a week

Earlier on we reported that creative hub and co-working space Moto Republik was being taken down. However, we can confirm that while council officials were in the process of tearing it down, Harare Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni halted the process because the council officials did not have any paperwork.

The Mayor postponed the process for a week so that he can investigate the issue and hear both sides to choose the best course of action.

 

Update:  Moto Republik has been informed it is in violation of a 1974 city by law
