The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) reassigned one of its top managers Ms Sukai Tongogara to general manager, preventions and corporate Governance, after she threatened to take legal action following her reassignment to an inferior position in the organisation.
Her lawyer Mr Joel Maramba of J Maramba and Partners confirmed to The Herald that his client and ZACC had reached an agreement after the organisation wanted to assign Ms Maramba to an unauthorised post of general manager External Relations and International Conventions from the post of general manager investigations.
Tongogara was redeployed after her acquittal of two improper conduct in July last year. Tongogara was accused of forming a company Private Mortage Company (PMC) without the knowledge of the commission and diverting $1,7 million from Treasury to buy shares into the company.
