Zifa to conduct first CAF Pro Licence before year end

The Zimbabwe Football Association is aiming to conduct its first CAF Pro Licence before the end of the year. The CAF Pro license is the highest football qualification on the continent.

Speaking at the conclusion of a CAF A licence at the Zifa Village, Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa said:

It is our dream to have excelling local coaches working with top clubs abroad. In that regard, before the year ends, we would have conducted our first CAF Pro Licence, a landmark which will make Zimbabwean coaches eligible to work anywhere on the globe.

It is now mandatory for all coaches of premier league teams to possess a Caf A licence.  32 local coaches participated in the month long Caf A licence course. Interesting to note that Star FM presenter Spencer Banda was one of the participants.
