Marondera councillor and three others on the run after police bust child sex syndicate

A Marondera councillor is alleged to have conspired with four other men to rent two houses which they used to run a child sex syndicate. The five would allegedly use the houses as private and secure places to have sex with different minors in exchange for cash.

The matter came to light after one of the minors went missing, leading the parents to approach the police for assistance. The police tracked the minor to one of the two houses, although other minors who were at the house escaped.

Patrick Tahwa was arrested and charged with having sex with a minor who is reportedly 14 years of age. He was granted $50 bail. Tahwa implicated the councillor and three other men, who have since gone on the run.
